(Kati) completed hertraining as an actor at the Westphalia Acting School Bochum in 2001 andthen performed at the Schauspielhaus Bochum,the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the Munich Kammerspiele and atthe Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin. At these theaters, she worked withthe directors Armin Petras, Peter Kastenmüller, Stefan Pucherand Jan Bosse, among others. She has created numerous short films withthe artist Stefan Panhans. (Rob) completed his training as an actor at the Film & Television Academy (HFF) “Konrad Wolf” inPotsdam-Babelsberg. He has worked as a freelance actor since 1998 andhas appeared in numerous film and television productions. Mostrecently, he has appeared in DIE AUGEN VON JONNY DEPP (directed byAlexander Hörbe), KLEINRUPPIN FOREVER and DIE DATSCHE(directed by Carsten Fiebeler) and ERSTE EHE (directed by IsabellStever). (Ike) received hisclassical training at the Professional Theater Training Program at theUniversity of Delaware. He began his actingcareer in 1969 with Clay Stevenson at the Soul and Latin StreetTheater. He was worked with the Public Theater at the Delacort in NewYork, with the Negro Ensemble Company and has acted in varioustelevision and soap opera roles. Roland Sands is indebted to histeachers, the late Clay Stevenson, the late Lucille Saint-Peter, MarkStone and Dan Hamilton. (Micha) completedhis training as an actor at the Fritz Kirchhoff Acting School in hishome town of Berlin in 2003. Alongside onstageroles at the Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, Theater Magdeburg and theHansa Theater in Berlin, he has acted in numerous film and televisionproductions, including DER TUNNEL, ALARM FÜR COBRA 11, PRAXISBÜLOWBOGEN and the feature film DREI STERN ROT (directed byOlaf Kaiser). Among others, he has worked with the theater directorsStefan Huber, Dieter Hallervorden and Uwe Eric Laufenberg. He hasperformed cabaret for the last two years with the Stachelschweinen inBerlin. (Liz) is a 2005 graduate from the Brown University/Trinity Rep Consortium MFA program. She has worked at regional theatres includingTrinity Rep and Syracuse Stage as well as at the Public Theatre in NewYork City doing a new plays preview called ON THE THRESHOLD. Sherecently played "Addy" in a new play by Cheryl West called ADDY: ANAMERICAN GIRL STORY at Seattle Children's Theatre. Myxolydia is excitedto work with GTA and enjoyed spending her first trip to Europe inBerlin for the rehearsal process. She would like to thank God and herfamily for all of their love and support.*

(Translator/Associate Director/Associate Producer) studied theater andfilm at Boston College, moving to Berlin in 2001 to begin his directingcareer with the support of a Fulbright grant. Brunet was the 2003Director in Residence at the English Theater Berlin, where he alsofounded and curated their development series, the Lab. Most recently,Brunet produced the International WOW Company’s YOU BELONG TOME at Performance Space 122 and translated HeinerMüller’s DIE UMSIEDLERIN for DavidLevine’s BAUERNTHEATER project. In the last three years,Brunet has translated more than a dozen contemporary German plays andscreenplays, including Michael Haneke’s FUNNY GAMES. Nowbased in Brooklyn and Berlin, Brunet has been a member of GTA since2002 and, alongside numerous other projects, served as the AssociateProducer of the STADTTHEATER NEW YORK project.
(Co-Producer) studied political science, German studies and Americanstudies in Hamburg and Massachusetts after training as a publishingassistant at the firm Gruner + Jahr. She worked as the assistant toWynn Handman, Artistic Director of the American Place Theatre in NewYork City during the 1997/1998 season. She was employed as a dramaturgat Theater Heidelberg from 2001 to 2005 (during the artisticdirectorship of Günther Beelitz), where she curated the”Heidelberger Stückemarkt – Forum jungerAutoren” (Heidelberg New Play Festival). Domrös hasworked as a freelance dramaturg, lecturer and producer in Berlin since2005 and has worked for the Berliner Festspiele, the Spree Agenten andGTA, among others.
(Office Management/Germany) studied German studies and education inBonn. She has assisted on numerous theater productions in Bonn, Cologneand Berlin and spent a season working in the artistic administrationoffice of the Junge Kammeroper Cologne. After a brief foray intomanagement, Grzymalla has worked in the artistic and administrativedepartments of K&K VolkArt (Berlin) and is the office managerof GTA since August of 2007.
(Stage Manager/Germany) completed her studies in linguistics,literature and media studies at the University of Potsdam in 2007.While still at college, she held several directing and dramaturgyassistantships at the Maxim Gorki Theater, the Berliner Ensemble andthe Jugendtheaterwerkstatt Spandau, among others. She also worked onvarious independent projects at Theaterdiscounter and theVolksbühne. In addition, she completed a cultural journalisminternship at Theater der Zeit. After ROOF OF GREAT PROMISE, ROADTHEATER USA is her second project with GTA.
(Stage Manager/USA) is delighted to be working with GTA again.Previously, Mr. Kaiser stage managed the American premiere of RolandSchimmelpfennig's THE WOMAN BEFORE, which was produced by GTA at HEREArts Center in New York. Most recently, Mr. Kaiser stage managed MUCHADO ABOUT NOTHING Shakespeare Santa Cruz. Favorite projects includePRIVATE LIVES and THE BLUE ALBUM at Long Wharf Theatre, THE MAGIC FLUTEconducted by Victor Borge, two European tours of JESUS CHRISTSUPERSTAR, and installing "The Gates: Project for Central Park NY,1975-2005". Mr. Kaiser is the resident stage manager for JenniferMuller/The Works dance company in New York.
(Dramaturg) studied theater, film and cultural studies in Cologne andHildesheim. She taught as an adjunct professor at the University ofHildesheim from 1997 to 2002. Lengers teaches as a guest professor atnumerous universities since 2001, including the Berlin University ofthe Arts and the Theater Academy of Hessen in Frankfurt am Main. Shemoderated the events of the Stückemarkt (New Play Festival)and the International Forum for the Berliner Festspiele. She is acorrespondent for the "Kulturmanagement Network" and deputy chair ofthe German Dramaturgical Society. Her writing has recently beenpublished in “Text + Kritik” and “Theaterder Zeit”. She has worked as a dramaturg and producer forTHEATER T1. Birgit Lengers has worked as a dramaturg for GTA since2004.
(Costume Designer) studied stage design at the State Academy of VisualArt in Stuttgart under Professor Jürgen Rose. She has workedas a freelance set and costume designer at theaters including theDeutsches Theater and Maxim Gorki Theater in Berlin, theBühnen der Stadt in Cologne, the Schauspiel Haus Graz and theStaatstheater Mainz as well as at operas including the Staatsoper Unterden Linden in Berlin, the Opernhaus Graz, the Opera la Monnaie/de Muntin Brussels, the Staatsoper Darmstadt, Oper Linz and theSchlossfestspiele Schwetzingen. Lippmann frequently collaborates withthe playwright and director Jenny Erpenbeck. In addition, Lippmanncreates installations and displays for exhibitions and is a productiondesigner for films. (Director/Producer) was born to German-Jewish parents in New York andgrew up in Germany. He studied psychology and acting inDüsseldorf. He acted under Hans Günther Heyme atSchauspiel Essen in the 1992/1993 season and then in Salzburg andGießen. At the same time, he began acting on Germantelevision. Marx founded GTA in 1996 with Christian Kahrmann andJarreth Merz and continues to serve as Artistic Director and Producer.Marx is responsible for the conceptualization and realization of all ofGTA’s projects. With GTA, Marx has appeared in numerousreadings and 2006’s production of THE WOMAN BEFORE, directedby Daniel Fish, and directed A IST EINE ANDERE for the PLAYSTATIONFestival in Düsseldorf and Adam Rapp’s BLACKBIRD inthe RED EYE SERIES as well as over 40 readings at the GTA Shop inBerlin.
(Video Art) was born in Salzburg, Austria and studied multimedia artsat FH Salzburg and media art/documentary film at the Berlin Universityof the Arts. Her animation and video work has been presentedinternationally, including the Inventionen Festival in Berlin, theInternational Computer Music Conference in Barcelona and Singapore andat Stanford University in California. Rohrmoser has received numerousmedia art scholarships and grants. Her collaboration with the composerKotoka Suzuki, UMIDI SONI COLORES, was awarded the first prize inmultimedia at the 2004 Bourges Electroacoustic Music Festival. Togetherwith Marcel Schobel, she won the Salzburg regional media art prize forthe Heimatfilm/live performance SCHNITZEL WITH NOODLES AND CRISP APPLESTRUDEL. (Sound Design) was born in Salzburg, Austria. After attending theMusischen Gymnasium and the Higher Technical Institute in Salzburg, hehas studied electrotechnology audio engineering at the University ofTechnology and University of the Arts in Graz, Austria. In addition, hehas worked as an audio technician on numerous film and televisionproductions and recently worked for Austrian Radio at the SalzburgFestival. He has worked as the live audio technician for the a cappellagroup “Ois Voice” in Graz since 2004 and producedtheir debut album in 2006.
(Playwright) At 35, he is one of the most produced contemporary Germanplaywrights. His name is on the playbills of the most prominentinternationally renowned theaters from Hamburg to Paris– Roland Schimmelpfennig. A name that has truly becomesomething of a trademark of contemporary theater. (Bühne)Roland Schimmelpfennig was born in Göttigen in 1967 and, aftera lengthy residence as a journalist in Istanbul, studied directing atthe Otto-Falkenberg-School in Munich. He then became an assistantdirector at the Munich Kammerspiele and joined the theater's artisticstaff in 1995. He has worked as a freelance writer since 1996. He spenta year in the United States in 1998, where he worked primarily as atranslator. In the same year, he received the Schiller Memorial prize.Roland Schimmelpfennig worked as a dramaturg at the Schaubühnein Berlin from 1999 to 2001 and was playwright in residence at theDeutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg during the 2001/ 2002 season. Since2000, Schimmelpfennig has been working on numerous commissions from theStaatstheater Stuttgart, the Staatstheater Hanover, the BurgtheaterVienna, the Schauspielhaus Zurich and the Deutsches Theater in Berlin,among others. He lives in Berlin.

(Video Art) was born in Bregenz, Austria and studied architecture atthe Vienna University of Technology, multimedia art at the Universityof Salzburg and experimental film design at the Berlin University ofthe Arts. He founded the VJ collective Renegadez in Salzburg in 1998.He has worked as a freelance moving image designer and artist in Berlinsince 1999. His installations have been displayed at Steirischen Herbstin Graz, at the Klangwerkstatt in Berlin, in the Monsun Theater andSchauspielhaus in Hamburg, as well as the Mabadaa Theater in Jerusalem.Marcel Schobel has produced various websites, CD-ROMs, DVDs andcommercial animations. He has been able to conduct additional projectsin Berlin in the last few years with the support of the DAAD and theBerlin Capital Cultural Fund. Schobel has received multiple awards forhis artistic work. In 2006, together with Claudia Rohrmoser, he won theSalzburg regional media art prize for the Heimatfilm/live performanceSCHNITZEL WITH NOODLES AND CRISP APPLE STRUDEL. ) studied French, Spanish and Latin Americanliterature in Berlin, Paris and Barcelona. She wrote her doctoralthesis on the topic of cultural theoretical questions of globalizationat the FU Berlin. In this context, she taught at the FU Berlin andDenver University and is the author of numerous academic andjournalistic articles. As a press agent and publicist, she has workedfor theaters (Berliner Ensemble, Schaubühne am LehninerPlatz), art organizations (the Professional Association of VisualArtists and numerous exhibitions) and science organizations (theBrandenburg Academy of Science: European Forum). She has beenGTA’s press agent in Germany since 1999.
(General Manager) earned her Master of Arts from the FreieUniversität Berlin in theater and German studies. In addition,she completed a certified continuing education course in management,marketing and communication at FH Potsdam in 2005/2006. She is themanaging director of the act Media Support GmbH and on the board ofdirectors of the Regional Association of Freelance Theater Artists inBerlin, the art association art.passages e.V. and a member of theartist group ifunk. She has worked in the areas of production, projectdevelopment, project management, accounting and publicity for lunatiksproduktion, the Schiller Days of the National Theater of Mannheim, GerdSchneider Gesellschaft, solo tunes theater production, Gregor Seyffert,the Long Night of Museums, Shakespeare Company Berlin, the Summer Operaof the Humboldt University and the Orphtheater.
